Books and Culture Review of The Way of Improvement Leads Home
Paul Harvey at Religion and American History has called attention to a review of The Way of Improvement Leads Home in Books and Culture. The review was written by Lauren Winner, a Christian writer and historian who teaches at Duke Divinity School. I have not read the review yet, but I am thrilled with the passage of the review that Harvey has posted. It seems that Winner has truly captured the spirit of the book--an historical analysis of the tension between self-improvement and roots American history. I look forward to reading the review in full.
