Reflections at the Intersection of American History, Religion, Politics, and Academic Life
Dr. Fea, you doing this is incredibly exciting for me. It makes me feel like I'm one of your students again! What a bonus!
I posted this and the "Past is a Foreign Country" video as introductory pieces for my online class (they also read some summary essays on the 1920s from Gordon, ed. Major Problems in American History, 1920-1945) -- I received some really nice feedback from students about how much they liked the videos, and they prompted some good discussion about how we can think about the themes of the course through the lens of the uses of history. Thanks!
Kate: Thanks so much. I had hoped that these short clips would be useful in the classroom. You just made my day!
Great! Some day soon I will do a write up on my blog -- still in the building process right now, but this would make a great subject for the annals of teaching.
