How Long Did it Take to Get From New York to New Orleans in 1800?

About four weeks, according to this map from Mother Nature Network.

I think the map is measuring time from NYC, rather than along the lines. That is, both Detroit and New Orleans were 4 weeks from NYC. I don't think the map says anything about the distance between New Orleans and Detroit.
