I spent a few days with Bryan Bademan and the good folks at MacLaurinCSF (see here and here) back in Spring 2011. It is a great organization doing some exciting things on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Consider applying for one of these openings:
MacLaurinCSF, a Christian Study Center at the University of
Minnesota in Minneapolis-St. Paul, seeks two new part to full-time members of
our staff team. MacLaurinCSF’s mission (strengthening Christian thinking by
bridging church and university) has nurtured a dynamic work environment in
which MacLaurinCSF staff along with University and community members seek to
understand the implications of Christian faith for all of life—especially
University life.
Communications Director
Responsibilities: Direct Public Relations, Build Church Relations, Oversee
Donor Care Strategy, Assist Executive Director in Development
We seek a person with experience or strong interest in development; excellent
writing, interpersonal, and networking skills; public speaking abilities; and
(above all) passion for MacLaurinCSF’s mission. The successful applicant will
spend time with pastors and other Christian leaders, helping congregations
appreciate the benefits of engaging the life of the mind at the University of
Minnesota. Bachelor’s degree required. Applicant must be able to speak winsomely
to a range of denominational and/or theological traditions within orthodox,
creedal Christianity. Applicant must also be a member in good standing in his or
her local church.
Program Director
Responsibilities: Plan Programs and Events, Oversee Student Fellows Program,
Build Faculty and Campus Ministry Relations, Publicize Programs in Print and
Social Media
We seek a detail-oriented person conversant with and passionate about
contemporary scholarship as well as Christian theology and the Bible. Position
requires excellent writing and communication skills, facility with technology
and social media, and superb networking abilities. Bachelor’s degree required.
Campus ministry experience and/or advanced degree(s) a benefit, as is an ability
to work occasional evenings and weekends. Applicant must be able to engage
winsomely with a range of denominational and/or theological traditions within
orthodox, creedal Christianity. Applicant must also be a member in good standing
in his or her local church.
