WFAN's Mike Francesa on the American Revolution

This post is for those of you who are familiar with WFAN sports radio in New York City and it's afternoon host Mike Francesa. (Mike is considered by many to be the best sports talk host in the country.  I should also add that his Sunday morning football show is syndicated nationally on CBS Sports Radio).  I have spent a lot of time listening to Mike on long car rides through the New York metro area.  Some of you may remember his longtime partnership with Chris "Mad Dog" Russo who left WFAN several years ago to host his own station on SiriusXM satellite radio.

I never thought my passion for sports and sports radio would converge with my passion for early American history, but I am happy to report that such a convergence took place in the form of this Francesa parody video.  Imagine if Francesa was broadcasting in 1776 and devoted a show to the American Revolution.  This guy's impersonation of Francesa is dead on.

And for those unfamiliar with Francesa, here is an actual video of him in action so you can make the comparison:

Thanks to Mark Boonshoft for calling the parody video to my attention.
