It's Official: New Springsteen Album Will Be Released on January 14, 2014

You cannot give it as a stocking stuffer, but you will be able to pre-order it as a holiday gift for the Springsteen fan in your life.  

That's right, Bruce's 18th studio album, High Hopes, will be released January 14th in preparation for his tour through Australia and New Zealand.  The album includes several Springsteen covers (including High Hopes and Dream Baby Dream), some songs that have been played in concerts but have not appeared on any album, some new versions of old favorites (including American Skin [41 Shots] and The Ghost of Tom Joad), and some brand new songs. Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello joins Bruce on several songs, as does the E Street Band (including the late Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici).  Springsteen calls it "some of our best unreleased material from the past decade."
